Turtle Rock Park Campground

Turtle Rock Park & Campground is Closed Until Further Notice.

Location

Turtle Rock Park Campground is located near Markleeville, California at an elevation of 6100'. It is 29 miles south of South Lake Tahoe, California and 32 miles west of Carson City, Nevada. The park has a combination of 26 RV or trailer sites, two of which are handicap accessible. There are also 12 tent sites. The picnic / day use area has a handicap accessible site.

The campground is open seasonally, approximately May through early October. The campground is available on a first come, first served basis. Vehicles must be 32 Ft. or shorter to utilize the campground. No reservations are available.

 

Recreational Vehicle Information

All vehicles must park on the paved pad at the site. Water faucets are located at various sites, no other hook-ups are available. There is no dump station.  Each camping site has a maximum of 6 occupants.

Amenities

The park offers flush toilets and a handicap coin-op shower. Also available for use on the property are a tennis court, basketball court, disc golf course, and horseshoe pit.

Please Note: During extreme fire conditions, fires are not permitted in the campground. At those times, outdoor cooking is allowed on gas / propane powered devices only.
