Biomass Pile / Fuels Reduction
Biomass Pile

The biomass collection for green waste at Turtle Rock Park is tentatively scheduled to open as usual on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Saturday September 26 through Sunday November 1, 2020 weather permitting.  County personnel will be on site during open hours to monitor the use.  Check in procedures will be modified to provide adequate social distancing due to the COVID-19 situation.  County staff will not be able to assist in unloading materials.

The Biomass Pile is typically held twice a year, in the spring and fall for Alpine County residents and is free of charge. The event is provided by Alpine County Department of Public Works in cooperation with Eastern Alpine Fire / Rescue and Alpine Fire Safe Council.
