Career & Training Services
Alpine County Business and Career Center offers a range of services for your job search and training needs. These services are available to all those who register at with CalJOBS in the Career Center.  You may register on your own or receive assistance when you visit.

During our hours of operation, self-directed services for employment and education purposes include:
  • Use of our computer lab
  • Local job listings
  • Photocopier
  • Printer
  • Fax
  • Phone
  • Local newspaper
  • A quiet supportive work environment

Workshops
You may also attend workshops on the following job readiness topics:
  • Effective Resumes and Cover Letters
  • Successful Interviewing
  • Effective Job Search and Networking
  • Computer Basics
  • Financial Management Workshops

These workshops are scheduled upon request and can be tailored to the interests and
needs of those attending. Contact the Career Center if you are interested.

Training Opportunities
If you would like to train for a career, our Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program offers scholarships for training programs, work experience (paid internships), and on-the-job training.

Youth Career Services
If you are a motivated, eligible youth, the WIOA Program offers comprehensive career services including:
  • Assistance with successfully completing high school or the GED
  • Paid and unpaid work experience opportunities
  • Pathways to college or vocational school
  • Job readiness assistance
  • Assistance with FAFSA (financial aid) application and resources for applying to colleges.
