Historical Records Commission

Established on October 2, 1984, per Government Code Section 26490, for the purpose of fostering and promoting the preservation of historical records. The commission is a five-member board composed of the county clerk or his/her designate, the county librarian or his/her designate, the county museum director or his/her designee and two additional public members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
