In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) ProgramAlpine County HHS administers CDSS’s IHSS program for County residents making the Income and Status eligibility for those services upon application. The IHSS program will help pay for services provided to disabled persons so that you can remain in your home. IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care, such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.
The types of Services which can be authorized through IHSS are housecleaning, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, personal care services, accompaniment to medical appointments, and protective supervision for the mentally impaired. here.Adult Protective Services (APS)Alpine County has APS services to help elder adults (60 years and older) and dependent adults (18-59 who are disabled) when these adults are unable to meet their own basic needs, or are victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation. Senior Meals on WheelsAlpine County HHS has a program to provides delivered meals to vulnerable elderly adults. Contact Alpine County Health & Human Service for eligibility requirements.
Food Closet Alpine County HHS offers bags of food to any Alpine County residents during regular business hours. Residents may visit the Food Closet once per month.
