Notice is hereby given that the Alpine County Local Transportation Commission will conduct a public
hearing regarding Alpine County’s Unmet Transit Needs. Unmet Transit Needs is an annual process
where information is collected regarding the Alpine County Dial-A-Ride transit program that will help
improve mobility for the elderly, persons with disabilities, persons of limited means, and the general
public. The Local Transportation Commission is seeking comments on the need for transit services
throughout the County and/or improvements to existing services.
The information gathered through this process will be used by the Local Transportation Commission to
determine unmet transit needs that are feasible to meet.
The public hearing will be held during the regular meeting of the Alpine County Local Transportation
Commission on May 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard. This
meeting will take place both digitally on the Zoom platform as well as in person at the Board
Chambers at 99 Water Street, Markleeville CA. The meeting agenda and instructions on how to join
digitally will be posted Alpine County Government Center, Water St., Markleeville, CA 96120 or can be
accessed at https://www.alpinecountyca.gov/.
Written comments to be included in the administrative record of the proceedings may be submitted in
advance of the public hearing to Alpine County Clerk, P.O. Box 158, Markleeville, CA 96120 or e-mailed
to clerk@alpinecountyca.gov.
Members of the public are invited to attend the public hearing.
Public input is encouraged.
