The Community Development Department is preparing an update to the Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan and seeking public input. This updated plan is being developed to facilitate compliance with federal requirements and to provide a tool for local government, industry, and private venues to help reduce the impact of natural hazards. The plan examines the potential threats that Alpine County residents may face. It also addresses mitigation efforts that can take place in both public and private venues that can help reduce the impacts of these threats. The survey is available until May 1, 2016.
