Last week, HHS Director Nichole Williamson, Alpine County Health Officer Dr. Rick Johnson, and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Tim Streeper attended a week-long training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama. The Alpine County staff participated in training and exercises with a large group of emergency response personnel from all over the US. The training was designed to give us additional skills and experience to to respond to a variety of mass casualty incidents- or MCIs. The training and travel was funded entirely by the Department of Homeland Security.
