Alpine County remains under a local state of emergency due to widespread flooding in the Bear Valley area. The first phase of this storm system has passed, however a more powerful system consisting of extreme winds and significant rainfall is expected this afternoon. Additional emergency services personnel have been assigned in preparation for a secondary flooding event which is expected to last until late evening Thursday when snow levels are expected to drop. Damages have been reported to personal property and Alpine County property.
