[ARCHIVED] 45 Day Comment Period Secured Rural Schools Title III Funding

The Alpine County Board of Supervisors is proposing to allocate funds in the following amounts under the Reauthorization of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act: Alpine Fire Safe Council in the amount of $18,614; Bear Valley Chipping Project in the amount of $10,000; Alpine County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $20,000; and Alpine County Community Development in the amount of $6,500.  Information regarding this program can be obtained by contacting the Alpine County Clerk’s Office in Markleeville, CA.

The 45-day comment period for the Bear Valley Chipping Program is open through August 2, 2019. Title III projects must be initiated by September 30, 2020 and all funds must be obligated by September 30, 2021 with the remaining balance potentially being returned to the United States Treasury. The 45 day public comment period for the bids for the remaining funds is open through August 16, 2019. This notice is provided according to Section 302 of PL 110-343.
