ALPINE COUNTY

FALL 2019

CLEAN-UP DAY 

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2019

7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

or until containers are filled

The County Clean-up is provided to Alpine County residents only and is free of charge.  Dumpsters are provided by Douglas Disposal to Alpine County residential customers as part of its franchise, the cost of which is included in residential customers’ monthly rate.  All materials brought to the event will need to be unloaded by the parties bringing the items.

Accepted Materials:                                

Residential household garbage, metal, paint, plastic, paper, treated wood waste, mattresses, washers, dryers, water heaters, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, computers, monitors and intact TVs.

Recycling Materials: Aluminum beverage cans, glass (cleaned with no lids), plastic containers (cleaned and flattened), tin cans, cardboard (completely flattened at seams), catalogs, magazines, newspaper, white paper and uncontaminated motor oil (maximum: five-gallon containers).

Not Accepted:

Dirt, cement, stumps or similar debris, construction debris and construction site clearing debris or slash, commercial business garbage / waste / debris, chemicals, batteries, light bulbs, or tires.
