[ARCHIVED] Alpine County is looking for a Turtle Rock Park Camp Ground Host



TURTLE ROCK PARK CAMP HOST
Markleeville, California

Turtle Rock Park is located near Markleeville, California in Alpine County at an elevation of 6100'. It is 29 miles south of South Lake Tahoe, California and 32 miles west of Carson City, Nevada. The park has 28 campsites, 12 tent sites and a picnic area. The campground lies in the shadow of the Sierras and is the home of nearby high country fishing, hiking trails, hot springs, a disc golf course, and numerous historical sites.

Alpine County is presently seeking a seasonal camp host for Turtle Rock Park Campground. This position would be from approximately the middle of April, 2020 until early October, 2020. There is no salary for the position. The camp host receives 10% of collected campground fees and two free campsite spaces with water and electrical hookups.

Friendly persons that can work well with the public and county personnel are ideal candidates.

The duties for this position include greeting campers, answering questions regarding camping at Turtle Rock Park, cleaning campsites and restroom buildings, and overseeing campground rules.
