The Forest Health Community Working Group is facilitating discussion on forest health and restoration in Alpine County. As part of our series of public meetings on these topics we are pleased to have a number of local agency representatives, experienced land managers, and interested members of the public join us on a short field trip the evening of Wednesday, July 19th to discuss forest values at a couple sites around Turtle Rock Park and Markleeville. We look forward to engaging attendees at the site with shat has occurred, how the site is perceived and how it might inform management activities in the future. This is an opportunity for members of the public to engage in discussion about what is important in our forests and how we can achieve a resilient condition. Meet at Turtle Rock Park at 5:00pm on Wednesday July 19th, we hope to see you there!
